SOCAR reduced associated gas emission by 140,000 cu m a day

State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is ongoing the process of reduction of associated gas flaring.
SOCAR vice president for ecology Mukhtar Babayev says that the Company managed to reduce gas flaring by 140,000 cu m per day for the last four months.

“SOCAR is working within three projects on utilization and use of low-pressure gas, including operations on fields Gunashli, Neft Dashlari, Grazevaya Sopka, and in its refineries,” Babayev said.
