Delhi-London aircraft makes emergency landing in Azerbaijan

A Boeing-777-300 ER passenger jet en route from Delhi to London made an emergency landing at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku, said Maharram Safarli, Press Secretary of Azerbaijan Airlines (AzAL).
According to him, the aircraft owned by India’s JetWays was forced to make an emergency landing at 17.31 on May 3 after a fire alert.

“All passengers were disembarked and the aircraft was taken to a special zone. After the problem is solved, the airliner departed from Baku at 00.32 local time on May 4 for London,” he added.
