Azerbaijan interested in studying Lithuania's experience on integration with European structures

Azerbaijan attaches special importance to the development of bilateral cooperation with Lithuania in the political, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
According to the press service for Milli Medjlis, speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Oqtay Asadov said this during the meeting with Lithuanian Foreign Minister Vigaudas Ushatskas.

The speaker noted that the existing political dialogue between the states promotes further deepening of relations, noting that Azerbaijan is interested in studying Lithuania's experience on integration with the European structures. According to Asadov, both states are directly cooperating in frames of influential international organizations. The speaker highly assessed the interparliamentary ties between Azerbaijan and Lithuania. The chairman of the parliament positively assessed the work, held in frames of the "Eastern Partnership" program and Twinning project.

Ushatskas informed the other party about the meetings held in the framework of the visit to Azerbaijan and signing of memorandum of deepening political dialogue between the foreign ministries of the two states with his Azerbaijani counterpart Elmar Mamedyarov.

The sides discussed other issues of mutual concern.
