Oil products supplies to internal market decline in Azerbaijan in 2009

The supplies of oil products to the internal market of Azerbaijan made 937,400 tons in January-February of 2009, which is 37.4% lower as compared to the same period of the last year, according to sources in the State Statistical Committee, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
The share of diesel fuel made 37.4%, motor gasoline 16.4%, fuel oil 15.2%, jet fuel 12.2%, liquid gas 3%, other oil products 15.8%.

Of the overall volume of oil products the SOCAR department of marketing and economic operations got 36.6% of lubricants, 42% of diesel fuel, 20.7% of motor gasoline and 2.3% of fuel oil in January-February of 2009.

Oil company Azpetrol received 53.5% of motor oil and 27% of diesel fuel.

AzAL received 100% of jet fuel, Russian Lukoil 16.7% of gasoline and 13% of diesel fuel, Caspian Shipping Company 4% of diesl fuel and 8.2% of lubricants.

Azerenerji received 76.1% of oven fuel and Baku oil refinery received 17.9% of fuel oil for refining.

The remaining volume of oil products was sold to other enterprises.

The reservoirs of the oil refineries of Azerbaijan stored unsold production in the amount of AZN 46.5 mln as for March 1 of 2009, including 39.2 thousand tons of motor gasoline, 7.4 thousand of virgin gasoline, 45.5 thousand tons of kerosene, 27.3 thousand tons of fuel oil, 52.8 thousand tons of diesel fuel, 14.3 thousand tons of lubricants and 2.9 thousand tons of oil bitumen.
