Mortgage lending might be resumed in Azerbaijan

According to a source in the Foundation, this decision can be adopted in the framework of anti-crisis measures by the Azerbaijani government. Notably, the foundation stopped credit issuance in summer of 2007 due to the shortage of financial means.

Notably, the state budget of Azerbaijan for 2009 fixes the amount of AZN 14,500,000 for the foundation. The way these funds are spent depend on whether the form of property on the stock company will change this year.

"If this happens, this AZN 14,500,000 will be directed to the founding capital of the stock company and from there to credits financing", said the source.
