In January-November of 2008 Azerbaijan conducted import-export operations with 139 countries of a total of $53.5 bln, said sources in the State Statistical Committee.

Of this amount $47 bln (87.9%) fell on export and $6.5 bln (12.1%) on import. The positive balance made $40.5 bln.
As compared to the same period period of 2007 the overall commodity turnover rose 5.1 times.
In the import-export transactions 53.5% fell on EU, 6.9% on CIS states and 39.8% on other countries.
A greater part of external trade transactions (81.1%) fell on Italy, United States, Israel, India, France, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, Indonesia, Turkey, Britain and Chile.
