IMF ready to provide technical assistance in improvement of Azerbaijan's tax system

The International Monetary Fund expressed readiness to assist to Azerbaijani government while developing changes to the Tax Code, said head of IMF mission Valeria Fikera in Baku.
"Currently the government is preparing draft amendments and alterations to the Tax Code, which will be presented for consideration of the parliament in May. IMF is ready to render technical assistance to the government in this issue, if any request is received", said she.

According to her, there is no exact decision regarding amendments but on the whole they envision preservation of the competitive business environment in Azerbaijan.
