Azerbaijani and Kazakh enterprises expected to sign new contracts

He said 2-3 projects implemented by these companies are nearing completion.

"Achievements have also been reached on food market, as several contracts have already been signed. Our main task is to establish contacts with service companies and equipment producing joint ventures. We have not attained contracts in this direction yet, but we have a memorandum with the Kazakh partner, which is to transform into a contract in the first months of 2008", E.Medjidov said.

There is a plan to transform memorandum of mutual operation in the sphere of oil engineering and establishment of a joint venture to produce oil and gas equipment into contracts in the first months of 2008, as well.

Joint ventures are expected to be created between Azerbaijani Azneftkimmash and Kazakh Kazpetromash, Kazneftegazmash and Sewon-Vertex Heavy Industry on arrangement of joint production of oil and gas equipment.
