Tariff Council reduces some communication fees

According to the Council's decision, the services offered by the Union for Gardening Development dropped from 14 to 7. The price of the service for the garden area was set as AZN9-28. The prices for the services had before been set by Baku Mayor's Office. The tariffs for the registration of the ships sailing under Azerbaijani flag, with the exception of small ships by State Sea Administration under the Cabinet, as well as ship documents, sea passports and profession certificates were also considered. About 40 services in this field were united under three items. The tariffs for 17 services were set between AZN10-3200. The highest tariff will be applied to giving certificates to the ports. These certificates will be one-time.

The proposals of the Communication Ministry concerning the tariffs for telephone services were also debated. Monthly subscription fees for telephone raised by AZN2. The Ministry's proposal on imposing limits to intracity telephone talks was not accepted. The price for intracity talks within the the republic was reduced to 7 kopecks from 9 kopecks, for the CIS and Baltic states to 36 kopecks from 45 kopecks, fro Iran, Turkey and Pakistan to 45 kopecks from 54 kopecks, for European states to 54 from 72 and for the US and other states to 54 kopecks from 90 kopecks. New tariffs are efficient as from June 1.

The Tariff Council returned the proposals on setting tariffs for services on registration of medication, veterinary services, and tariffs for State Service Controlling Consumer Market, public utilities. APA
