Azerbaijan keen on cooperating with India in ICT development

Azerbaijan shows great interest in cooperation with Indian companies in development ICT sector, said the country’s economic development minister Heydar Babayev.

"We have prioritized the Information and communications technologies sector for sustainable development. We want to work together with Indian companies. India has great potential," he added.

He said the two countries are studying prospects of cooperation in pharmaceutical, agriculture, refining and other spheres, adding that several pharmaceutical companies of India operate in Azerbaijan.

At the end of the meeting of Indian delegation led by the Minister of State for Commerce Shri Jairam Ramesh and Azerbaijan senior officials, an agreement was inked to establish the India-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission, APA-Economics reports.
