Georgia, Kazakhstan discuss economic cooperation

The announcement comes after a session of the Kazakh and Georgian inter-governmental commission on economic cooperation, which was held in Tbilisi on April 2.

Georgian Economy Minister Giorgi Arveladze and Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Serik Akhmetov signed a memorandum on economic partnership.

The memorandum outlines cooperation priorities between the two countries with a special focus on increasing competitiveness of transit route via Azerbaijan and Georgia, according to the Economy Ministry.

Kazakhstan was the third biggest foreign direct investor in Georgia last year, with USD 152 million. Civil Georgia
