Azerbaijan strengthens flight safety

Carrying liquids, gels and aerosols in the aircraft cabin has been restricted in the flights from Heydar Aliyev International Airport, Baku.

The company informed that liquids, gels and aerosols, such as, for example, toilet accessories and cosmetic, can be carried as hand luggage only in containers with a capacity no greater than 100ml. Those carried in containers larger than 100ml will not be accepted, even if the container is only part-filled, all containers should be placed in one closed transparent plastic package provided by Aviation Security Department. The total volume should not exceed more than one liter and each passenger has the right to carry only one such package.

It is authorized to carry the liquids bought from duty free shops at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, in the transparent and sealed package. Such passengers should have the check or other document that confirms the place of purchasing, APA reports.

The children's liquid feed which can be required during flight for the infant under 2 years, traveling with adult passenger, also should be presented on control check of Aviation Security Department.

Liquid and aerosol-containing medicals are permitted for transportation as a hand luggage only in case of presenting written instruction (recipe) from appropriate medical center and the medicals should be placed in transparent plastic package and should be sealed by the appropriate medical center.

Liquids, gels, liquid and an aerosol-containing medicines packed into plastic packages, other subjects of hand luggage and portable computers should be presented separately, for visual and x-ray examination, to employees of Aviation Security Department.
