Minsk-Baku-Minsk flight opened

First flight from Azerbaijani capital to Belarus capital will be made today, Emin Ilyasov.

The flights will be made once a week by AZAL and Belavia. Boing-737-500 will fly from Minsk to Baku today. There will be 25 passengers on board, and the plane will return to Minsk a few hours later, APA reports.

The plane will land in Baku at 2 o'clock at night. The chief of Belavia's commerce service Dmitri Skoroskokov and others will be the first passengers.

There are six journalists and the team of Belarus Television and Radio Company. Ilyasov said that the first plane of AZAL will fly to Minsk on March 8, the flight will be made by Aerobus-319. It takes three hours to get there, and the ticket costs US$387.

Belarus embassy in Azerbaijan considers that this flight is of great importance not only for businessmen, but also for common citizens. Spokesman for the embassy Kiril Kamishev said that Moscow, Kiev and other cities were used as transit to get to Minsk. It took mush money and time.

"According to the official data, 6,000 Azerbaijanis live in Belarus," he said.

Noting that Azerbaijan is a door to the East and Belarus is a door to the West, Kamishev considers that the project will be profitable.
