Azerbaijan to license international phone operators

Under a presidential decree, international telephone operators will be licensed in Azerbaijan, Communications and Information Technologies Minister Ali Abbasov said.

He said the ministry has not received any application yet. Up to now, Aztelecom and AzEuroTel Joint Ventures have been international operators in the country.

Abbasov said that licensing will reduce telephone conversation prices, APA reports.
