International Pomegranate Festival underway in Goychay

International Pomegranate Festival started in Goychay region of Azerbaijan today. The festival held for five consecutive years has been organized by the region’s administration. About 40 foreigners are attending the festival.

The festival will feature a fair and exhibition that will display different varieties of pomegranates as well as various pomegranate products produced by local enterprises. There will also be various contests, quizzes and games related to this fruit.

The celebration will be attended by state and governmental officials, parliamentarians, representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Azerbaijan, heads of administrations of neighboring regions, local and foreign entrepreneurs.

The festival which aims to popularize Goychay pomegranate across the world will be followed by a concert and a salute.
