Zakir Hasanov: "The combat readiness and military activity of Azerbaijan meets the level of the military structures of the leading countries"

"The high level experts and the head of the state have positively assessed the military readiness of the interior troops", said Hasanov.

He said the armed forces are equipped with the most contemporary equipment, technique and necessary conditions are created for soldiers and officers to hold the military activity on the high level.

Under the order of national leader Heydar Aliyev of March 9 of 1995 the first day of participation of Interior troops in the hostilities, aimed to protect the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan from the military aggression of Armenia, is declared the Day of Interior Troops.

The armed forces were direct participants of all processes in the sociopolitical life of the country, they were developing overcoming all serious obstacles and difficulties. During the hostilities the personal staff lost 496 servicemen, 1166 were wounded and 268 went missing.
