4 meter high monument of Azerbaijan's National Leader Heydar Aliyev established in Egypt

The ceremony was attended by an Azerbaijani delegation composed of 10 people and led by chief of executive powers of the Absheron region Zakir Faradjeb, who arrived in Egypt on Monday.

Moreover, the opening ceremony was also attended by Minister for International Cooperation of Egypt Faiza Abul Naga, Azerbaijan's ambassador to Egypt Faiq Bagirov, officials of the embassy, Egypt's Ambassador to Azerbaijan Yusif al-Shavkari, governor of Kalubei city Adhi Hossein and other authorized persons.

As is known, a memorandum of mutual understanding was signed during the visit of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Egypt in summer of the last year. In line with the agreement, Khyrdalan and Kalubei are brother cities.

The part of Azerbaijani-Egyptian friendship was opened in Khyrdalan in December of 2007 during the visit of Egypt's Minister of International Cooperation Faiza Abul Naga to Azerbaijan.

The opening ceremony was attended by Kalubei Governor Adli Hossein.

The bust of Egypt's President Hosni Mubrak, as well as copies of ancient Greek sculptures are erected in the center of the park.
