UEFA representatives have arrived in Baku to review preparatory works for the organization of Euro 2020 final to be held in Bakud.

Azerbaijan's capital will be one of the 13 host cities of the European Football Championship in 2020, and along with Munich, Rome and Saint Petersburg will host quarterfinals and three group games each.

At the Baku Olympic Stadium, the UEFA officials met with members of the local Organization Committee and got acquainted with the technical infrastructure, telecommunication facilities and ticket selling system of the stadium, viewed the operating room and received information about the organizational point during events at the stadium.

The Baku Olympic Stadium, which was designed to host the inaugural European Games in 2015, is the biggest stadium of Caucasus with capacity 68,700 spectators and 7th best stadium of the world by StadiumDB.

The stadium was recognized as the best project by the American Council of Engineering Companies. Earlier, the stadium was selected as the best project in sports and entertainment by Engineering News Record magazine. 

The six-storey stadium occupies an area of nearly 50 hectares. The pitch has four entrance gates, while the stands have 26 gates. The arena has room for 68,000 spectators and 3,100-car parking spaces.
