Real Madrid have signed a world-class midfielder in Toni Kroos. The German topped the passing charts at the World Cup, completing 544 passes, and was second with his 43 balls into the area, just behind Di María on 47.
The midfielder has a silky touch and turns every set-piece into a clear-cut chance on goal. Hummels, who headed home two goals in Brazil, is the player who most benefitted from his pinpoint passes and Kroos will probably take over from Xabi Alonso in taking set pieces at Real Madrid.
He's also shown a very keen eye for goal, scoring three tournament goals, two against Brazil, and running a total of 15 kilometres during the final against Argentina.
