The Brazilian has dismissed claims that he does not get along with his Argentine accomplice at Camp Nou, while also insisting that he will be fully fit for the World Cup
Barcelona forward Neymar says that he enjoys a "wonderful" relationship with team-mate Lionel Messi.

Blaugrana boss Tata Martino has not been able to field the pair in tandem as much as he would have liked because of their respective injury problems this season.

However, despite claims from some quarters of the press that the duo are incompatible, and do not see eye to eye, Neymar insists that he and Messi click both on and off the field.

“We have not been able to play together in every game but I think the link we have been creating is very good because the relationship between us is wonderful,” the Brazil international said in an interview with CNN.

“Some people said that we would not get along, but they were wrong. He is a very relaxed guy, a star that I admire.”

Neymar last appeared for Barcelona in their Copa del Rey final defeat on April 16 but confirmed he would be fit and ready to represent his country this summer.

He added: “I will be recovered for the World Cup. The only problem is that I cannot help Barcelona. I hope to get to the World Cup with a great level and help my team-mates win the World Cup.

"I know the responsibility I have in the national team, as well as my colleagues. We are a group, one needs the help of the other and we are preparing so we can win the World Cup.”

The Blaugrana forward also spoke of his disappointment over the controversy surrounding his move from Brazilian club Santos last June.

"Everything was correct and we have done nothing wrong," Neymar continued.

"The way in which Santos handled this left me very sad, but what are you going to do?

"I cannot answer for them, but I can speak for myself and my father and say that we were really sad the way they wanted to resolve this."
