The 2014 Senior European Taekwondo Championships have kicked off at the Sarhadchi Olympic Sport Complex in Baku.
The four-day championships bring together more than 400 fighters from 46 countries.
Day one will feature competition in the men`s 54kg and 87kg weight categories, while women will contest medals in the 46kg and 62kg classes.
Four Azerbaijani fighters will be in action on the first day of the championships - Mikayil Aliyev in the 54 kg, Jeyhun Hasanli in the 87kg, Turkan Tahirli in the 46kg, and Sabina Mikayilova in the 62kg divisions.
