Everyone in Europe will be proud of Azerbaijan's preparation and hosting of Baku 2015 First European Games, Azerbaijani Youth and Sports Minister, Azad Rahimov said.
Rahimov made these remarks at the 77th Congress of the International Sport Press Association (AIPS) held on Monday, April 28 in Baku.
He said holding the congress prior to the First European Games, plays an important role in terms of promoting Azerbaijan.
The First European Games are scheduled to be held in Baku in 2015.
"We try to create a model of innovative games. This will not be just sports events. This will contribute to the construction of new sports facilities and arenas," Rahimov said.
He went on to add that Baku is a sports city and therefore holding new sports events here is very pleasing.
The minister also recommended the sports journalists to get acquainted with the beautiful tourist places of Baku as well as social and other spheres.
Over 250 delegations and observers from 110 countries have been registered for participation in the 77th Congress of the International Sport Press Association.
