Delegates attending the 2014 SportAccord Convention, taking place between 6-11 April at the Susesi Convention Centre in Belek/Antalya, Turkey, can make the most of their time at the event and learn all they need to know about the Baku 2015 European Games thanks to the launch of an innovative new mobile application.

The official event application, which is available to download for free, has been created and launched thanks to an enterprising partnership between the Baku 2015 European Games and the SportAccord Convention.

The application presents a number of helpful features to enhance the experience of delegates attending the SportAccord Convention including session details, speaker biographies and the exhibition floorplan. Once they have downloaded the app delegates can log-in and make their profile visible to other in attendance so that they can connect and make the most of networking opportunities during the Convention. The Event App enables delegates to create their own schedule around the sessions and activities taking place throughout the week, including evening receptions, hosted by the Baku 2015 European Games.

The Event App also makes it easy for delegates to engage in social media activity through their Twitter accounts and to communicate using the event hashtag #SAC2014.

The App is available to iPhone, Android, Blackberry, Windows Phone and desktop computer users. The application also provides a valuable platform for delegates to learn all they wish to know about the First European Games.

The mission of the First European Games is to deliver a Games that unifies people across Europe in a passionate celebration of sport. The largest multi-sport event in the history of Azerbaijan will involve more than 6,000 European athletes competing across 19 sports.

Baku is investing in 20 major new and refurbished competition venues, providing iconic locations and world-class facilities for the athletes of Europe and young people in Azerbaijan, and a new world class sporting centre for the NOCs and athletes of Europe and beyond for decades to come.
