Lionel Messi returned to a Barca starting line up for the first time in two months, the last time he started was in the away game at Betis in which he picked up his injury on the 10th November last year.
Not content with starting the little Argentinian then proceeded to grab the two goals of the game.
Messi gave the Catalan's the lead in the 44th minute with a finish from close range, after getting on the end of Tello's cross.
Messi doubled the Barcelona's advantage in the 63rd minute after the Argentine rounded Jordi Codina, before sliding his effort into the bottom corner.
Lionel was denied a hat-trick in the 87th minute, after the forward did well to get beyond the Getafe defence, but could not force his effort past Codina.
