Arda Turan was Atlético's man of the match in the top-of-the-table clash against Barça, which finished 0-0. The Turk sealed a fantastic night on a personal level by gaining a priceless souvenir at the final whistle, swapping shirts with Leo Messi.

After exchanging a hug, the pair traded tops and Turan cracked a joke, leading the Argentine to let out a big laugh. The Turkish media later suggested that the winger had said that Atleti is going to win the title, although this is pure speculation.

Having initially labelled Messi "out of this world" ahead of the match at the Calderón, Turan went even further in the mixed zone after the game, stating: "Lionel Messi isn't from this world; he's an alien. In my opinion he's the best player in the history of football".

The Turkey international, meanwhile, was in a world of his own in terms of the technical prowess he showed at the Calderón. Turan was the only Messi on the park on Saturday evening (albeit the Argentine did show a few glimpses of genius during his short time on the pitch). He was involved in all the best pieces of play, from unbelievable controls to silky dribbles, a remarkable show of skill to wriggle free when cornered by several Barça players, three breathtaking tricks, the best pass and even the most dangerous shot of the night.
