The Azerbaijani Parliamentary Science and Education Committee has developed a bill 'On science'.
"The bill will soon submitted to the committee's discussion," Committee Head Shamsaddin Hajiyev said to the ruling New Azerbaijan Party's web site.
The bill reflects the issues on scientific degrees, he added. Moreover, the bill identifies some of the details and the mechanisms of this process, he said.
He said the world experience to award academic degrees must be implemented in Azerbaijan. "However, above all we should base on the law 'On Education' in this issue. The provisions of this law remain in force for a period of 5-10 years. Over time, the laws will be improved. In this sense, the awarding of academic degrees can be reconsidered in future, "he said.
