Evda Abramov, the only Jewish member of the Azeri Parliament, told the AEN news agency that the graffiti could have been inspired by Iranian special services.

Iran, Azerbaijan's southern neighbor and major trade partner, is believed to be irritated by Azerbaijan's diplomatic relations with Israel. The city of Baku promised to paint over the graffiti.
