14 March 2006 [22:11] - Today.Az
From Tuesday March 7, 2006 British Airways started complying with the new Advanced Passenger Information (API), which has been introduced for all passengers flying to the US.

The new legislation requires all customers to provide their country of residence and for those who are not US residents, a first night destination address in the USA. This is in addition to the current details provided to US authorities from data found in customers' passports, the company told Trend.

Customers are being urged to input their relevant data on www.ba.com or via their travel agent before they come to the airport. Failure to enter their details before they come to the airport may result in customers being delayed at check-in or missing their flight.

Any customers who decline to give the required details to British Airways will not be accepted for travel.
