The Institute of Archeology and Ethnography has completed the archeological researches in Naftalan and Goranboy regions.

The excavations resulted in discovering of four mounds in Naftalan, as well as more than 30 and 2 medieval settlements in Goranboy.

The researches continued in the necropolis considering to be related to the Iron Age in Goranboy's Tatarl? village.

Necropolis was recorded in 2007 by leading researcher at the Institute of Archeology and Ethnography, docent Muzaffar Huseynov. As the result, eight graves were studied in the following years.

By the way, four graves were studied this year in Necropolis.

The excavations were also carried out in Goranboy's Garachinar settlement, where scientists collected and examined cultural samples and various items related to the Bronze Age.
