Earthquake occurred in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, the website The Republican Seismological Service Center of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences reported.

The earthquake was recorded on Monday, at 01:31 local time (GMT+5) in the Caspian Sea.

Tremors were not felt. The source of the earthquake was located at depth of 40 km. Magnitude of the earthquake was 3,1 points on the Richter scale.

Strong earthquake hits Zagatala region of Azerbaijan, ANAS Republic Seismological Service Center reported.

According to the report the quake was recorded on 14 km south-west from Zagatala city at 22.26 by local time.
