Arriving in a new country is always stressful when you do not have an earlier plan. Guests of Baku in these sunny days should not lose time to get acquainted with the city and enjoy its nice weather in the parks.

Plenty of garden squares that fascinate with greenness and freshness surround hotels in the city.

You can start your walk from one of them, and then taste a delightful ice cream or drink a cold drink, while going through all of them.

One of the most cozy and pleasant park in Baku is definitely Gubernator's Park behind the Old City.

State Philharmonic Hall is situated in this park and you can enjoy the sound of music echoing in the gorgeous building.

There is a pleasant teahouse here where you can refresh yourself before the walk to another park.

Nearby you can find the Waterfall Park standing on the hill with a number of artificial waterfalls. Because of the location, water and shades of the trees, it is always breezy and fresh in the park, making the place perfect for the hot sunny days.

Going down the Istiglaliyyat Street to the Gosha Gala gate, you will find another pleasant park located on a different level and covered with tall trees. It is a resort for couples and children.

Opposite to this park, you can find another one with fundamental monument of famous Azerbaijani poet Nizami Ganjavi. In this park, you will find lovable fountain, habitual seat for pigeons.

Further on, you will reach one of the iconic place in Baku: Fountain Square, where a lot of shops and cafés are situated. Besides that, the place, as it is clear from the name, is famous for its unusual fountains and sculptures. Do not forget to take a selfie here! Then you can go right to the Molokan Garden, one of the landmarks and tourist attractions in old downtown Baku.

Molokan Garden is an idyllic place for tourists with children, as here kids can enjoy communicating other children at the colorful playground, while their parents are taking rest in the shade of the old trees.

A stone's throw from the garden you can find Sahil Park, near the Sahil underground station. This place is an assembly point of skaters and rollers, where you can have a ride or just enjoy the murmuring noise of water in the fountains.

After that, you can go either to the Seaside Boulevard or choose another destination and go the 28 May station.

Here gorgeous Samad Vurgun Park is situated where you can rest a bit on the vivid lawn, and continue your way to the new Winter Boulevard through the calm Heydar Aliyev Park, the venue of glowing Flower Day.

The Winter Boulevard is a good place for a promenade, however, be sure that it is already evening, as it is not advisable to walk here under the scorching sunshine.

If you prefer walking under the noise of dashing waves, go to the Seaside Boulevard that is another landmark in Baku. You will spend a lot of time here, wandering around the exotic trees and flowers, observing the Baku bay. The Boulevard is over five km long and full of amusements.

The new part of the boulevard has a so-called "Baku eye" newly opened observation wheel, from which a glorious view of the city is opening. However, there is another good place for the magnificent panorama of the city - the Highland Park.

Take a ride in a small carriage of the funicular to the top of the city and wait for the Sunset here slowly drinking flavorful tea with marmalade and pastry while planning your future tour around the country.

The city starts to immerse in the darkness when all the fabulous illumination goes on. This picturesque view over the city is priceless and will doubtless impress you strongly for a long time, making Baku one of the beloved cities.
