President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has signed an order to establish the Baku International Multiculturalism Center.

The executive order underlined the need to promote Azerbaijan worldwide as an example of tolerance and to make analysis of compatibility of social, political and other aspects of multicultural models of other countries with the multicultural environment of Azerbaijan.

Under the order, the Cabinet of Ministers must draw up its proposals and submit it to the President. The Cabinet also must ensure alignment of laws with the executive order and provide information about it to the President within three months. In addition, the Cabinet must oversee the alignment of the order with regulations of the central executive bodies, report about it to the President within three months and settle the technical and financial issues.

The Justice Ministry must register the Baku International Multiculturalism Center within a month.
