The conference of the Union of Turkish World Municipalities is underway in Kizilcahamam District of Ankara, Turkey.

Azerbaijan is represented by Mehdi Salimzade, head of the Centre for Municipal Affairs under the Ministry of Justice.

The Union of the Turkish World Municipalities (TDBB) Chairman, ?brahim Karaosmano?lu, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Naji Koru and the AK Party Deputy Chairman Menderes Turel attending the event noted that this Union represents nearly a thousand municipalities from 25 countries.

As stated, cooperation of local government bodies is very important on implementation of joint projects and strengthening solidarity with the friendly Government and the brotherly people.

In this context, 10 thousand students applied for scholarships and organized 14 international education programs.

The conference will end on March 2.
