Young scientists of Azerbaijan will present their scientific work at an international fair of scientific and technical creativity. The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF), will be held in Pittsburgh (USA) from May 13 to 18, the organiser's report said on Monday. The Intel ISEF 2012 will be attended by four senior pupils from Azerbaijan.
Seven schoolchildren to act as observers, a finalist of the national competition from Azerbaijan and six winners of the CIS countries' pupils scientific work competition "Scientists of the future" will join them.
Intel ISEF finalists were determined based on nine national semi-finals, four of which were held in Russia, two in Ukraine, one in Azerbaijan, one in Belarus, and one in Kazakhstan.
The national stage of Intel ISEF in Azerbaijan was held this year for the first time.
Competition 'Future scientists of Azerbaijan' was organised by the Education Ministry and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan with the support of the Intel Corporation. Some 77 schoolchildren made presentations in teams and individual work in seven sections as part of the competition.
