18 February 2010 [18:48] - Today.Az
The group for imposing and developing modern communication means at the Georgian Central Election Commission demands installation of the video cams at every polling station, asserting the video control will guarantee fair and unbiased conduct of vote.
"We propose that every polling station be equipped with cameras, including the special polling stations for the self-government elections," Nino Goguadze of the party announced at a briefing.
She defined that previous elections proved that the vote was not rigged at the precincts equipped with video cameras.
The members of the group call upon the finance ministry and the international organizations to provide financial support for the initiative.
