Russia is interested in and maintains contacts with oil producing countries, as in the present circumstances the subject is very important, Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, according TASS.

"Russia is interested in it, always had, and will continue to have contacts with oil producing countries, because in an unstable market this subject is vital for the economy and is very interesting," Peskov said. "Certainly, the theme is quite sensitive and probably this is why the information provided by the Energy Ministry was limited," he added.
