Iran National Tanker Company is fully prepared to start carrying the country’s oil once Iranian oil companies are free from international sanctions, the company’s CEO Ali Akbar Safaee said.

The removal of the sanctions will create good opportunity for Iranian tankers to resume their activity, he said, Shana news agency reported January 13.

The official noted that with the removal of the sanctions, all Iranian tanker companies as well as related insurance companies will be free. Safaee added his company moved 70 million tons of oil and gas products in the past nine months.

The capacity of the company is 15.5 million tons, over 95 percent of which is currently being used, he stated.
