The U.S. is not interested in aggravating the relations with Ankara after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the diplomatic missions must not interfere in the country's affairs, Hurrriyet newspaper reported on Tuesday citing a source in the White House.

Moreover, the U.S. is dissatisfied with Turkish Prime Minister's statement on the representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, according to the newspaper.

Earlier, Turkish Prime Minister urged representatives of foreign diplomatic missions not to interfere in the country's affairs.

"If the representatives of foreign diplomatic missions continue interfering in Turkey's affairs, this issue will be resolved at the diplomatic level and ambassadors will be expelled," he said.

He also stressed that the internal and external forces that do not want the country's revival are involved in the recent events in Turkey.

"Nobody will be able to weaken the Turkish government," he said.

"The government would do everything possible to fully clarify the latest events," he said.

Earlier it was reported that the leader of the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party Kemal K?l?cdaroglu met with the U.S. ambassador in the country after a corruption scandal.

Turkish police conducted special operations in Istanbul and Ankara on Dec.18, resulting in the arrest of 52 people that includes businessmen and sons of some ministers.
