The new list of the most influential Muslims has been declared. Tens of Muslim political leaders are included in the list. The publication is amassed by the Royal Islamic Strategic Studies Centre in Amman, Jordan.

The declaration is issued each year by the RISSC in collaboration with Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Center at Georgetown University for Muslim-Christian Understanding in the United States of America.

Top 10 List of 500 Most Influential Muslims of 2013 includes:

1. King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, The Saudi King and Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques

2. Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan

3. Ayatollah Hajj Sayyid Ali Khamenei, He is a supreme leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran

4. King Abdullah bin Al Hussein, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan

5. King Mohamme, King of Morocco

6. Sultan Qaboos bin Sa’id al Sa’id, Sultan of Oman

7. Professor Dr Sheikh Ahmad Muhammad al Tayeb, Grand Imam of the Al Azhar Mosque, Grand Sheikh of the Al Azhar University

8. Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Hussein Sistani, Marja of the Hawza and Najaf, Iraq

9. President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, President of Indonesia

10. Sheikh Dr Ali Goma’a, Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt
