Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University claims that its graduate, present Minister of Justice Thea Tsulukiani, is an expert on international relations, which is contrary to the law, according to which only a person with a legal background may hold the office of Minister of Justice.

According to the head of department of educational process of TSU Dali Kandelaki, Tsulukiani graduated from the Faculty of International Relations and International Law in the specialty "international relations."

"By decision of the examination board, she was qualified as a specialist in international relations," she said.

Thea Tsulukiani hasn't yet commented on this issue.

MP for minority Goga Khachidze requires the Ministry of Justice to present evidence of higher legal education of the minister, as it is a legal requirement. Without such diploma, a person may not hold the position of the Minister of Justice.
