Eighteen villages have been cut off from the outside world in the Khada Gorge in the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region of Eastern Georgia as a result of intense snowfall.

According to Georgian media outlets, it is not yet possible to begin clearing roads because snowfall is continuing.

Also, gas is not being supplied to the villages due to damages on gas pipeline.

Snow depth in the region is up to one meter.
