Georgia and Azerbaijan have signed an agreement on cooperation between the operational units of Interior Ministries of the two countries.
This agreement will enable exchange of operational information between the interior agencies of Georgia and Azerbaijan, Georgian Interior Ministry said.
The signing of the document took place in Batumi, which hosted a meeting of the working group, attended by the heads of the operational services of interior ministries of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Moldova, Armenia, Ukraine and Belarus.
Georgia has signed bilateral agreements on the operational and investigative cooperation with representatives of other countries attending the meeting.
This meeting once again underlines the fact that Georgia's withdrawal from the CIS does not mean the termination of relations with these countries, by contrast, bilateral relations are formed based on the interests of all these countries, the Interior Ministry of Georgia said.
