Azerbaijani embassy to Kazakhstan hosted an official reception to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of Azerbaijani Armed Forces. The event brought together officials of Kazakhstan`s Ministry of Defense, ambassadors and military attachés of the US, Austria, Germany, Turkey, China, France, Poland, India, Ukraine, Belarus, Romania and Lithuania, as well as members of Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan Friendship and Culture Association, Azeri diaspora members and journalists.
Speaking to the ceremony, head of the administration of military attaché at the embassy, colonel Khazar Abbasov highlighted the history of the country`s Armed Forces and national leader Heydar Aliyev`s role in army building. “Today, under the President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, the country has strong army with modern equipment and weapons.”
He also touched upon Azerbaijan-NATO, Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations, as well as Azerbaijan`s efforts on peaceful settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
