Elchin Efendiyev, Deputy Premier of Azerbaijan met with visiting Zuzsanna Jakab, World Health Organization Regional Director for Europe on Tuesday.
Efendiyev noted the 60th session of the WHO Assembly awarded First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO goodwill ambassador, MP Mehriban Aliyeva for her contribution to protection of maternal and children`s health.
He pointed out WHO-Azerbaijan relationship has developed very much given Azerbaijan is a member of the WHO Regional Committee for Europe
Jakab pointed out the aim of her visit is to get more information about Azerbaijan. According to her, the 59th session of the World Health Organization decided that Baku would host the 61st session of the Regional Committee in September 2011. Jakab pointed out she heads a working group for holding the event.
Present at the meeting was Minister of Health Ogtay Shiraliyev.
