Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic reached an agreement to carry out joint projects for modernization of military aircrafts.
Military sources told APA the agreement was reached during the visit of Azerbaijani defense industry officials to the Czech Republic. The sides discussed the issues of cooperation for modernization of Azerbaijan’s L-29 and L-30 aircrafts and producing some required components in Azerbaijan.
The Czech Republic’s Aero Trade produces L-29 and L-30 aircrafts and their stimulators. These aircrafts are used in trainings and military operations as well. The Czech news portals reported that some Czech companies are interested in joint projects with Azerbaijan and licensed transfer of technologies to Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijani delegation headed by Minister of Defense Industry Yaver Jamalov was on a visit to the Czech Republic on January 20-24.
