Editor and founder of "Zamane and qanun" ("Time and law") newspaper issued in Azerbaijan Elkhan Aliyev was arrested for swindle. He is accused in peculating of large amount of money.
Aliyev Elkhan, 43 is a resident of Agdam village of Azerbaijan’s Tovuz region. He peculated AZN 56 700 of Adalat Efendiyev, resident of Cardaglar village of Azerbaijan’s Zagathala region.
Efendiyev said he swindled money partially from September, 2007 to October, 2010. The arrested man acknowledged it and said he gambled away part of the money, and the other part was spent on a number of other things.
Police have launched criminal investigation.
