The European Commission has expressed support for the Nabucco European pipeline project.
An article about the prospects of the project was published in Der Spiegel magazine (Germany).
The article says that, according to Energy Commissioner Günther Oettinger, the construction of the Nabucco pipeline will start in 2012-2013 on the ground of the EU agreement with Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
The Nabucco pipeline would be very effective in increasing Europe`s energy security, the experts say.
