Azerbaijan's Consulate-General in Kars has conducted a commemorative event marking the 7th anniversary of the death of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Participants of the event, who included staffers of the Consulate-General, senior officials of Kars, regional heads of political parties, businessmen and members of the Azerbaijani community, first visited a monument to the national leader in the city center.
Speakers at the commemorative event, including Consul-General Aykhan Suleymanov highlighted national leader Heydar Aliyev`s life and activities. They praised the national leader`s role in strengthening the Azerbaijan-Turkey relations.
The speakers also recalled national leader Heydar Aliyev`s visits to Kars.
