The official visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Ukraine, which took place on October 27-28, was given a high profile in the Ukrainian press.
Thus, “Den” (The Day) Ukrainian newspaper and “Profile” magazine have published interviews with the President of Azerbaijan. The interviews titled “Ilham Aliyev: We will rejoice over all your achievements and triumphs” and “President of the Azerbaijan Republic: Azerbaijan is arena for cooperation”.
President Ilham Aliyev answered the questions related to the Azerbaijani-Ukrainian bilateral relations, cooperation in the field of economy, the role of Azerbaijan in the international arena, Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict over Nagorno Karabakh and the efforts towards its peaceful solution.
Almost all state and independent media sources widely covered the official visit of the President Ilham Aliyev to Kyiv, his meeting with Ukrainian President Victor Yanukovich, the second session of the Council of the Heads of States of two countries. The visit was estimated as a successful and fertile.
