Azerbaijani and Turkish businessmen held over 500 bilateral meetings and signed contracts worth $10mln on the sidelines of the Azerbaijan-Turkey business forum, Turkey's Minister of State Responsible for Foreign Trade Zafer Caglayan told a news conference here.

The minister said his country has always assisted Azerbaijan in strengthening its economy. He said views of citizens of Azerbaijan and Turkey concerning the Karabakh problem “are the same”, reiterating Turkey's position on the settlement of the conflict.

The minister said Turkish bank “Turkiye Is Bankasi” wants to open its office in Baku, and various companies are interested in participating in tourism projects in Azerbaijan. Caglayan noted that his country is keen on boosting ties with Nakhchivan as well.
